HEALTHCAREfirst recommends deleting a bereaved party only to remove an incorrectly entered bereaved party. You should not delete a bereaved party that has completed communication within the system.

If you highlight a bereaved party that has completed communication, the system disables the Delete button and a message displays explaining that the bereaved party has completed communication and cannot be removed. |
If you need to delete a bereaved party from the system, you should delete it as soon after you enter it as possible:
1. From the Main Menu, select Administration and then click Delete Bereaved.
2. Locate and click on a bereaved party in the list of names. You can also search for a name by entering an ID or Last Name in the search fields and clicking .
3. Click . The following warning displays:
Data loss is unrecoverable! Are you sure you want to delete this record? If yes, click OK.
4. Click OK.
