HEALTHCAREfirst recommends deleting a patient record only to remove an incorrectly entered patient. You should not delete a patient that has billing batches within the system.

If you highlight a patient record that has billing batches, the system disables the Delete button and a message displays explaining that the patient has billed batches and cannot be removed. |
If you need to delete a patient from the system, you should delete it as soon after you enter it as possible:
From the Main Menu, select Administration and then click Delete Patient.
Locate and click on a patient in the list of names. You can also search for a patient by entering an ID or Last Name in the search fields and clicking .
Click . The following warning displays:
Data loss is unrecoverable! Are you sure you want to delete this record? If yes, click OK.
Click OK.
