Creating New Events

The Event Log provides the ability to track specific patient details (Fundraiser Participant, War Veteran, Cancer Survivor, and so forth) or events that occur for a patient within the admission (patient fall, physician visit, transfer to hospital, and so forth) that can then be pulled into a report for review. Event Log is accessible from the Admission/Discharge section of the patient record and Event setup is completed from the Master Files.

 

To add a new event in Master Files:

1.    From the Main Menu, click Master Files, and then select Events. A default listing of system-defined events will appear.

2.    Click    on the DME Vendor tab.

3.    Enter the following information at the bottom of the window:

     Code

     Description

     LOB

     Status

4.    Click  .
