Validating OASIS Documents

Similarly with original forms, OASIS documents also have built-in functionality allowing users to validate the documents to ensure they have been completely and properly filled out.

 

To validate an OASIS document:

1.    From the Main Menu, click Patients then select a patient.

2.    Click the Documents tab.

3.    From the populated documents in the list, select the corresponding blue link for the document that you wish to validate. The selected electronic document will automatically open within the EE interface.

4.    From the Document Menu to the top-right of the window, select Validate. If the document contains errors, a notification will appear at the top of the document stating "Validation complete. [X] error(s)" where X = # of errors.

5.    Click the drop-down notification to expand it, displaying details about the error(s).

6.    Review errors on the printed report.

7.    Correct all errors in the document.

8.    Click Validate, as necessary, to ensure that all errors have been corrected.

 

To print the list of validation errors for an OASIS document:

1.    From the Documents tab, select the blue link for the document you prefer to print validation errors for. The selected electronic document will automatically open within the EE interface.

2.    From the Document Menu to the top-right of the window, select Validate.

3.    Click the drop-down notification to expand it, displaying details about the error(s) as well as a Print option, to the right (See image below).

4.    Click Print to populate the list of validation errors into a printable .pdf file. A prompt will appear at the bottom of the browser.  

5.    Click either Open to immediately view the .pdf file or Save to save the .pdf on your computer's local drive.
