Resubmit an Eligibility Check

The integrated Eligibility features are designed so users can easily resubmit eligibility checks patients even after requests have already been sent to a payor. To do this, users can simply return to the Eligibility screen for the appropriate patient (in Patients | Intake / Referral | Insurance) and click  .

If an eligibility request has already been completed and the insurance provider is Medicare, the 271 response file will not be updated again for the rest of the same day (and the    button will be disabled). CMS states that trading partners should not resubmit the same transaction multiple times during the course of a day expecting to receive different results. Submitting multiple requests within the same day (once a successful response file is returned, can result in system privileges being revoked.
