firstREV User Groups

Enterprise Edition uses information stored in the firstREV User Groups reference file area to supplement user roles in the firstREV interface (for applicable agencies). In firstREV User Groups, agencies can manage existing user groups and create new ones. User group records that are created in this screen can then be assigned to applicable personnel (in Administration | User Security) that will be using the firstREV interface. These user groups will synchronize with each agency’s firstREV account. Similar to many screens throughout the software, this screen includes a search feature and each firstREV user group can be setup with a Group ID and Description.

Agencies use each group to designate certain personnel according to a specific role in the billing process. HEALTHCAREfirst establishes three default user groups for each agency that is enrolled in firstREV. Each default user group contains the following permissions in firstREV:

     Administration — Users are able to access all menu options available in the firstREV interface.

     Intake Coordinator — Users have access to Patients, Eligibility, and Support menu options.

     Billing Coordinator — Users have access to Patients, Claims, Collections, Reports, Settings, and Support menu options.

Agencies that use the default user groups setup by HCF will only need to assign applicable personnel with a user group by using the firstREV User Group security option (in Administration | User Security). Agencies that do not want to use these default groups must create their own custom user groups in both firstREV and EE before assigning them to users in User Security.

 

 

To create a new, custom firstREV user group:

1.    If necessary, navigate to Reference Files and then select firstREV User Groups.

2.    Click  .

3.    In the Group ID text field, enter the unique ID that you want to use for the new user group.

4.    In the Description text field, enter a short, specific description of the new firstREV user group you are creating.

5.    Click  . The new user group record will display in the grid.
