Using the Dashboards

Enterprise Edition displays dashboard reports by their relevant functional area. To view reports from a different functional area, click Admissions, Clinical, Billing, or Collections on the dashboard.

Your available functional areas may vary depending on the job functions configured for your login name.

By default, the main page dashboard reports include data from all providers to which you have access. Enterprise Edition displays all Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSA) in the filter selection box regardless of access, but reports and views only apply data based on what you have access to. To limit the data displayed on your dashboard to a single or specific provider(s) or CBSA(s):

1. Click the arrow beside the Provider or CBSA field.

2. Select the providers or CBSAs to display, or select Check all to display all providers or CBSA’s. Only those providers to which you have access display. The dashboards refresh automatically.

By default, dashboard reports include data for the prior 12-month period. To view other 12-month periods that fall within your contracted period, click the arrow beside the Month field and select the month in which you want to end the 12-month period. The dashboards refresh automatically.

• To view summary information for a specific chart element, hold the pointer over the element.

• To view detailed information for a chart, click the chart.

• To return to the previous dashboard view, click your browser’s Back button.

• Clicking the chart element to view detailed information pulls up the chart along with Observations and Information explaining the chart elements.

• To view detailed information for a chart element, click the chart element. Drill down information displays on the same window as the graph report. The drill down information populates automatically once you click the data segment on the graph. This information also displays below the graph. You may need to scroll down the page to view the data. Column headers display at the top of the chart, including the drill down information.

• Hold your mouse over the column header to view a description of the data in that column. 

• To change provider, CBSA, or month data on the displayed graph:

1. 1. Click the arrow beside the Provider, CBSA, or Month field.

   2. Select the providers or CBSAs to display, or select Check all to display all providers or CBSAs. Enterprise Edition display only those providers to which you have access. Select the month in which you want to end the 12-month period.

   3. Click Refresh. 

In some cases chart elements may be so close together, based on data, that it is difficult to read, or the user may want to view only certain chart elements. In these scenarios, you can turn off the chart elements.

To turn off chart elements from within the chart report, click the chart element label at the bottom of the chart report. The element label is grayed out and is no longer visible in the chart.

To view the chart element again, click on the grayed out chart element label.
