Using Receivables Intelligence

Receivables Intelligence is a reporting service that retrieves information directly from the fiscal intermediary (FI)Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to provide reports on the progress of episode and hospice claims through the FIMAC system. The reports reveal the status of your claims at your FIMAC, which allows you to reconcile your software system, understand your Remittance Advices (RAs), and have the information to make important business decisions.

Each night, Receivables Intelligence checks for updates with the FIMAC. It then creates reports with this data and posts the reports to your Business Intelligence (BI) FSD Web page. New reports are available daily, Monday through Friday, not including holidays.

To separate the data by different branches or offices, assign internal patient codes when you submit claims to the FIMAC. These codes should reflect the patient’s office, such as including GRN for an office on Green Street. Then, in Excel, you can sort by Int Pt Number to group your information by office.
