Financial classes are located in the Reference Files area and allow users to group different payors into a similar category for billing and reporting purposes. These financial classes will be assigned later to payors in the “Financial Class” section (within the Payor Plan Setup topic). Each agency database will be initially created with a few common default financial classes.
To add a new financial class:
1. Using the main menu, navigate to Reference Files | Financial Classes.
2. Select .
3. Enter a name for the financial class in the Description field below the grid.
4. Click .

Financial Classes can now be assigned to payors in the Master Files | Payors / Plans | Payors screen. |
