At any time during the billing cycle, users can utilize the Download Claims screen to view details for claim files that have already been submitted. Depending on the number of claims that have been submitted recently, it may be beneficial to utilize the search feature in order to find the specific claim you wish to view.
Follow the steps below to specify the claims that display in the results:
1. Using the Main Menu, navigate to Accounts | Billing.
2. Select the Download Claims tab.
3. Use the Created From and/or Created Thru fields to specify a date range for results that display in the grid. Claims that are created before the "From" date or after the "Thru" date will not display in the resutls.
4. To narrow the list of results, you can use the View Files for the last field to only display claims that were submitted within the last 7, 30, 60, or 90 days. Or, you can select "All Days" so results are not limited by the date of submission. By default, this is set to "7 Days".
5. By using the File Downloaded? filter, you can display records according to whether or not the corresponding file has been downloaded or not (All, Yes, No). Select "No" to only show claim files that have not been downloaded yet. By default, this filter is set to "No".
6. If desired, specify the File Type (i.e. 835, 837I, 837P, 837I & 837P). By default, this is set to "All".
7. If desired, you can choose to only display claims associated with a specific NPI number. By default, this is set to "All".
8. Use the 999 field to display claims according to the returned status of the 999 file (Accepted, Rejected, Not Received).
9. Use the 277 field to display claims according to the returned status of the 277 file (Accepted, Rejected, Not Received).
10. After all desired filtering criteria has been selected, click . All submitted claims that fit within the specified criteria will display in the grid below.
