MAR Locations

For each office using the MAR, you must create a Room/Bed tree in MAR Locations. Enterprise Edition adds a child entry in the tree to represent different rooms and/or beds in which a patient may be assigned.

A user with MAR | Administrator rights in User Security may use the Master File to view which patients are assigned to which locations. If a user does not have administrator rights, Enterprise Edition displays Occupied next to a location assigned to a patient.

1. Select an office from the Agency tree in the left column. Enterprise Edition displays the office in the Room/Bed tree in the right column.

3. Click

. A child of the office displays in the Room/Bed tree as (New Location).

4. Click on (New Location). (New Location) displays in the Location field.

5. Highlight (New Location) in the Location field, and enter a location name.

If a location is no longer being used, you may mark it inactive:

1. Select an office from the Agency tree in the left column.

2. Click next to the office in the Room/Bed tree.

3. Click on the Location name.

4. Check the Inactive check box below the Location field.

5. Click .

You can also create multiple bed rooms by creating a Room/Bed folder level for each room:

1. Follow steps 1-7 above to create a new Room/Bed location for each room.

2. Right-click on a Location name and select New Child. A child of the Room/Bed displays in the tree as (New Location).

3. Click on (New Location). (New Location) displays in the Location field.

4. Highlight (New Location) in the Location field, and enter a location name.

5. Repeat for each bed in the room.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each multiple room bed in the Room/Bed tree.
