Setting Up MAR (Medication Administration Record)

Settings for the MAR reside in Master Files | MAR Setup. The MAR settings include various options that control how the MAR will function for the end user.

This master file is only available for the Hospice line of business.

 

To setup MAR:

1.    From the Main Menu, click Master Files  and then select MAR Setup.

2.    Use the top half of the Medication Administration Admission Setup window to search for existing MAR IDs if necessary.

3.    Click  . Use the bottom half of the Medication Administration Admission Setup window to make the following selections:

     MAR ID

     Office

     Time Format

     Administration Window

     Default Entry Method

     PRN Efficacy Documentation Reminder

4.    Enter the appropriate Default Administration Times, or click    and use the Hour/Minute fields to enter a time, to indicate the default medication administration times for each medication frequency.

5.    Click  .

6.    Enterprise Edition displays the MAR setup in the MAR ID grid.

* Indicates required fields. If you do not complete all required fields, pop-up notices display denoting required fields.

Enterprise Edition does not save the MAR ID if you do not complete all required fields.
