Designating HIS Category Sites

In order for the software to automatically populate data within the enhanced HIS - Admission document, hospice agencies must designate referral category records with the appropriate HIS category site (i.e. Location the corresponding patient was admitted from). As the software will then use this field to populate data in the A1802. Admitted From field.

Complete the process below to designate a referral category record with a HIS location:

1.    While logged into the software, navigate to Reference Files | Referral Categories.

2.    From the Referral Category display grid, select an existing referral category record.

3.    Click the Category Site - HIS Site/Location Admitted From drop-down field.

4.    Select the correct location option for the selected referral category record from one of the following options:

1 – Community residential setting (e.g. private home/apt., board/care, assisted living, group home, adult foster care)

     2 – Long-term care facility

8 – Psychiatric hospital or unit
