Viewing the MAR Administration History

To search for a medication in the MAR Admin History window:

1.    Select the applicable filters under Filter Medication Records By.

2.    Click to narrow down the results.

3.    Select a medication from the Results table. The details of the administration record display below the search.

 

View the administered medications for a patient on a calendar by clicking    in the top-right of the MAR History screen.

 

Once a medication has been selected from the search results grid, a user with MAR:AdminHistoryDetails rights in User Security can click    to display the Medication Administration Record screen (from within the MAR History tab). From this screen, users can review additional information about that administration record, such as interaction and allergy alerts, and any Early/Late or Not Given reasons.

The Medication Administration Record screen is also where the administration record can be modified or voided. The Administered Date/Time, Administration Status, Administered By, Notes, Efficacy, and NotGiven Justification, or Untimely Justification fields can be modified in this screen.

 

Voiding a MAR Record

Voiding a record resets the medication for administration on the Medication Administration screen, but does not delete the history of the original administration record. The voided record will still display in the Medication History screen. However, the Voided column in the grid will now indicate “True” for the record.

 

To void an administration record:

1.    From the MAR History tab, select the administration record from the Medication History grid.

2.    Click View Details.

3.    Click  .

4.    Enter the Reason Medication Record is being Voided in the prompt and click  . At the bottom of the screen, a VOIDED RECORD section will display with the employee, date/time, and reason.
