When a hospice patient admission has the MAR Active box checked, the MAR menu button will become available within the Patients area of the main menu on the left side of the screen. Once MAR is selected, users can access any of the five MAR screens that are available by selecting the corresponding navigation tab at the top of the screen: Patient Medications, MAR Schedule Setup, MAR Schedule Calendar, MAR Administration, MAR History.
The MAR Schedule Calendar tab will display the patient’s Medication Schedule Calendar. By default, the schedule will display for the current day (Day View). Although, all of the following options are available in the Calendar View menu:
● Day View
● Week View (Sunday – Saturday)
● Week View (Monday – Sunday)
● Work Week View (Monday – Friday)
● Month View (Sunday – Saturday)
● Month View (Monday – Sunday)
● Task View (5 Days)
● Agency Work Week
Users can apply certain filters to the patient information to display information differently based on the type of medications that are present. (Scheduled, PRN, Continuous). To filter the Medication Schedule Calendar :
1. Click Show Search Options.
2. Use the Medication field to filter the schedule according to a specific medication.
3. If desired, use the checkboxes to display data differently for the corresponding medication types:
● Show Scheduled — Displays medications that are scheduled. By default, this box is checked.
● Show PRN — Existing PRN medications will instead display within the appropriate areas of the schedule grid in red (instead of in the red box at the top, as shown in the sample image).
● Show Continuous — Continuous will display medication information in separate blue boxes above the schedule grid (instead of requiring the user to hover the mouse cursor).
4. Click 
to apply any filtering options that are selected.
To return to the screen where medication administration times are set, click the MAR Schedule Setup tab.
