Before you add a new nursing facility, use the search fields to see if the facility already exists. |
To add a nursing facility:
1. From the Main Menu, click Master Files, and then select Facilities.
2. Click on the Nursing Facilities tab.
3. Complete the following fields:
● Enter the ID/Account. (Leave this field blank if you want the system to generate an ID.)
● Click the arrow beside the Offices field and select the office you want to associate with the new facility.
● Enter the Name (25 characters or less in length), Address, City, State, and Zip (Must be 9-digits in accordance with what is on file with the USPS) for the facility.
● Enter the facility's National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Do not include apostrophes anywhere on the record, in the name or address fields. |
● Click the arrow beside Line of Business and select Homecare, Hospice, or Homecare and Hospice.
● Click the arrow beside Location Codes and select the appropriate code. (You can find the associated Q code for each Location Code by reviewing the Reference File | Location Code.)
4. Click . When the facility information saves, the Phones/Email section becomes active.
5. Click New in the Phones/Email section to add a phone number in the phone list.
6. Enter the phone number in the field, and click the arrow in the next field to select the correct phone type from the pre-defined phone types.
7. Click to update the phone number.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for additional phone numbers.
9. Click at the top of the page.
10. Continue with Entering Facility Rates.
