The first time that any user logs in to firstREV, AMA and AHA licensing notice is presented. This is required to display their content. Please review the information displayed in the prompt and then click I Accept to accept the terms of the licensing notice. Once accepted, this prompt will not display again.
Each time a user logs in to firstREV, the Dashboard is the first screen that displays. This screen is accessible from any other screen throughout the firstREV interface and Dashboard is the first option listed on the menu toolbar. As seen in the sample image, the Dashboard contains several useful features.
Every screen throughout firstREV contains a header banner that runs along the length of the screen. The firstREV header contains several convenient controls available for users at any time. These controls are grouped into two separate categories, the status bar and the toolbar. The view of the header shown in the sample image has been zoomed in; these controls will display differently in your browser.
Status Bar
The status bar is located at the top-right of the header and contains the following:
● Name of the user currently logged in to the firstREV interface.
● The facility or entity currently assigned to the user account. If working with multiple entities, users can switch the primary entity they are working with.
To switch the primary entity:
1. From the status bar, click the link of the entity currently assigned to your user account (e.g. "HCF Demo"). The Select Partners screen will display with a list of all entities that are available for selection with your user account (See image below).
2. Select the radio button in the Active column for the corresponding entity you want to work with. Only one active entity can be set at a time.
3. Click Save.
● Alerts — Displays the number of alerts that currently shown (if user account has visibility for alerts). If any alerts are available, click this link to display the corresponding details at the top of the screen.
● Messages — Displays the number of messages (if any). Users can click this link to access an internal, encrypted system used to communicate PHI or other info within the firstREV interface.
o Utilizes a common e-mail interface (i.e. Inbox, Sent, Archive, Trash).
o Includes option to view Notices and Alerts (if applicable).
o Click 
to begin creating a new message to send.
o Click 
to refresh this screen and display any new messages.
● Logout button.
Toolbar
Located at the bottom of the firstREV header, the toolbar is accessible in every screen throughout firstREV and contains a variety of menu options. Though the Dashboard screen contains several quick link options (refer to next page), the toolbar is the primary method of navigation throughout the firstREV interface. For a complete list of menu options that are available, refer to the firstREV Layout topic.
The Dashboard screen itself is broken up into four sections:
Quick Links
The Quick Links section provides users with a convenient way to quickly access certain screens in firstREV (without needing to locate the corresponding option via the toolbar menus) that are commonly used in each agency’s billing department. By default, the following options are included in the Quick Links section:

● Eligibility Request
● Eligibility Responses
● Institutional Claims
● Professional Claims
● Remit Payments
● Remit Details
● File Manager
● Reports
File Upload
All claims are automatically sent to firstREV after a batch is submitted (in Accounts | Billing). Although, if necessary, this section can be used to manually upload claim files. File types that can be uploaded include .NSF, .HL7, print images, 837, and 835 files. Institutional and Professional claims must be uploaded separately.
To upload a claim file to firstREV:
1. While in the Dashboard, click the 
button in the File Upload section.
2. Either drag-and-drop the claim file near the “Drag files here” text. Or, click Add Files and then locate and select the file using the Windows explorer prompt that displays.
3. Click Start Upload to begin the process. For each file selected for upload, the Filename, Size of the file, and Status (% complete) will display. Larger files may take longer to upload.
4. Once the file(s) are finished uploading, click Done.
5. Uploaded files are available in System | File Manager (in the folder of the entity selected).

An error may occur when uploading a claim file for one of the following reasons: Something is wrong with the file, the system cannot accept the formatting of the file, or the file is a duplicate. |
Alerts
If available, alerts will display here. Furthermore, alerts will sometimes display if there is maintenance occurring in the application and users may experience potential downtime in the application.
Notices
Any applicable notices pertaining to the user will display in this section.
