MAR Setup

The Medication Administration Record (MAR) is available in firstHOSPICE as a way to schedule and record medication administration. The MAR feature is designed for use by Hospice agencies with Inpatient Care Facilities, but is not limited to this use. MAR features must first be activated by a HEALTHCAREfirst representative. Once activated, you will see the MAR option set to On in Administration | System Control. Listed below are each of the areas of the software that must be set up after MAR is activated for your agency.

Settings for the MAR reside in Master Files | MAR Setup and Master Files | MAR Locations. The MAR settings include various options that control how the MAR will function for the end user. Refer to the topics below for more information about setting up MAR features for your agency.
